How Not to use Powerpoint from Michael Hyatt’s (President & CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers) blog From Where I Sit. I can certainly agree with the thoughts that there is nothing worse than a bad powerpoint or presentation in general. This video hits all the key points, passion, structure…..check it out! The slide presentation was found at slideshare.net.
Taking inspiration from Jim Walton’s post a few days ago and working on two of the creative planning teams at church, I’ve decided to start a Church Creative Team Wiki. As i’ve tried to find a single place that has all the things i’m looking for so I decided that I would put one together. While as with any wiki it’s a work in progress I thought it only best to enlist your help to make this as useful as possible. So check it out, leave me a comment or send an email to the address of the homepage of the wiki, and let’s get creative!
I’ll start off stating that I haven’t tried or even downloaded the software but it starts off with one of my favorite words…FREE! It’s from the creators of Sermonspice.com and seems to pretty cool including support of dual screen. You can check it out and download (for free) at getspicerack.com The feature list from their website:
built for the church
plays mov, wmv, mp4 and more
10 minutes to learn (video)
built in sermon media store
Importing of songs from MediaShout® and SundayPlus®
dual screen control
study area (niv, nasb and more)
hard-working geeks always improving
What presentation software do you use?
Raul Midon, wow, new favorite!
Well, it seems we moved into a new house and I forgot how to blog. As strange as that is I forgot not only how to blog but haven’t even checked up on my Google Reader. So much information missed and so much of that not shared I feel like I’ve gone backwards to 1999. This is my vow to keep this up-to-date and actually make it worthwhile for you and me.

Our desire is that these songs will encourage anyone at Tech or around the world who is looking for sure footing in the wake of these tragic events.

After much difficulty, and trial and error I finally got Postie setup to allow full blogging abilities from my Treo. As the only website that has the cron plugin was down all day, I setup to use the cronless posting which will hopefully work just fine. So how do you moblog?
For those of you who read my blog with a feedreader you probably haven’t noticed anything different. For the rest of you welcome to BradentonTech.com. This is my new website for my blog. I’ve made the switch from Blogger to WordPress and have now updated my feed to come here. I hope you enjoy and hopefully having this new site will encourage me to a little more faithful in posting. As always enjoy and try out that comment button.
