Stubbornness is a virtue … if you are rightGod is calling us to go to places we’ve never been on pathways we didn’t know existedMy church, Woodland Community Church, is one of the host sites for Leadership Summit this year.  Which gives me the privilege of not only attending but being the Technical Director of the production so I get a front row seat to the whole thing. The speakers for day one: Bill Hybels, Jim Collins, Christine Caine, Tony Dungy, Andy Stanley, Adam Hamilton, and Dr. Peter Zhao Xiao.  As you can see there were some great speakers on day one and some greats bits of wisdom was shared, here’s just a glimpse of what I was able to grasp.

Bill Hybels

• If God is transmitting to you everyday how concerned would you be with the quality of your antenna?
• Leaders move people from here to there.
• People oftentimes like it “here”… they don’t like the idea of going “there.”
• “Refill their vision bucket. Everyone’s vision bucket leaks.”
• Celebrate every mile-marker you possibly can on the way to the destination.

Jim Collins

• Good is the enemy of Great. // What do you settle for?
• Bad decisions made with good intensions are still bad decisions
• If you measure your success by money, you always lose

Christine Caine

• Every single healthy church should have the tension of calling seekers and teaching believers. We must be comfortable living with this tension.
